Hi, I’m Yorkin

Bilingual and culturally grounded care for real life.

With nearly two decades of experience, I bring a depth of knowledge and a genuine commitment to meeting clients where they are. My work spans individual and group therapy, with a specialization in behavior interventions, behavior modification, anger management, and family services. I have had the privilege of facilitating therapeutic groups including Parenting Journey, Parenting in Transition, Anger Management, and the Art of Parenting, spaces where real change and connection happen.

My practice is rooted in a strengths-based approach and trauma-informed care. I believe every client carries inherent resilience, and my role is to help uncover and build upon it. I am formally trained in suicide assessment and prevention and bring extensive experience supporting the safety and wellbeing of families through community-centered care and collaborative networking.

Representation and belonging matter deeply to me. I am a proud advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and offer services in both English and Spanish, because healing should never be limited by language or identity. My own journey informs my practice in meaningful ways. After migrating from the Dominican Republic, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Education from Lehman College, followed by a Master's degree in Social Work with a specialization in trauma within the child welfare system from Hunter College's Silberman School of Social Work. I am licensed in New York, Maryland, and Washington DC.

I show up for my clients with warmth, cultural humility, and a steady belief that growth is always possible.
